Refund & Cancellation Policy
Billing
Prism base subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. Each plan includes a monthly Credit allowance. After a paid account uses that allowance, additional usage continues at the overage rate disclosed at checkout and in Settings → Billing. Overage charges are billed monthly in arrears, including for annual plans. Your base subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel first.
Trials
We may offer a 14-day card-on-file trial with a limited Credit allowance. Before the trial starts, we show the trial length, allowance, post-trial price and billing frequency, overage rate that will apply after conversion, and how to cancel. We send a reminder before conversion. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to the selected paid subscription. Processing pauses if the trial Credit allowance is exhausted, and no overage fees accrue during the trial.
Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Billing, or through the billing portal linked from your invoice emails. No phone call or support ticket is required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep full access until then, and you will not be charged again.
Cancelling is different from closing your account. Cancelling stops future charges but keeps your access and content until the period ends. Closing your account ends access immediately and starts the 30-day window to export your content, as described in our Terms of Service.
Refunds
Because you can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the period you've paid for, payments already made are non-refundable, and we do not prorate partial billing periods. Exceptions:
- Billing errors. If we charged you incorrectly, we will refund the difference promptly.
- Duplicate payments. Refunded in full.
- Where required by law. Some jurisdictions grant refund rights that cannot be waived; where they apply, we honor them.
Credits and overages
Plan Credits reset each month, do not roll over, and have no cash value. Prism does not sell top-up Credits. Once a paid account exhausts its monthly allowance, further use is billed as uncapped monthly overage, subject to reasonable fraud, security, capacity, and technical controls. Overage charges reflect usage already incurred and are non-refundable except for a billing error, duplicate charge, or where required by law.
Renewal reminders
We send renewal reminders and other automatic-renewal notices where required by applicable law. Your renewal date, base subscription price, applicable overage rate, and cancellation controls are available in Settings → Billing.
Downgrades and upgrades
Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated for the current period. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal. Neither generates a refund of amounts already paid.
