Troubleshooting
Fixes for the problems people hit most.
Start by checking whether work is still running, a prerequisite is missing or the link you opened lacks the project or output information Prism needs.
Nothing happens when I brief a video
Check the bar above the create buttons. Until you have chosen a presenter, a script style and a video style, it reads SELECT A PRESENTER + A SCRIPT STYLE + A VIDEO STYLE TO CREATE, and both buttons stay disabled.
All three are required. A preset sets all of them at once.
My script style changed on its own
Choosing a video style can replace the script style you picked. When it does, the script style card greys out and shows SET BY VIDEO STYLE.
Choose the video style first, then the script style, and you will not lose a choice.
My video is still generating
Scripts and renders run on Prism's servers and take time. The brief clears as soon as you submit, which is normal — it is ready for the next one, not lost.
Watch progress in the Project Outputs panel or the Task Manager. The output appears in the project when it is done.
A link takes me back to the home screen
Prism's project pages need to know which project you mean. A bookmarked or shared link that has lost its project will return you home.
Open the project from the switcher in the header, or from Pick up where you left off, rather than from a saved link.
The editor says there is no blueprint
The Editing Suite needs the full address for a specific edit. Reaching it by a partial link produces No blueprint available for this output.
Open the output from the project instead of editing the address.
The wire is not loading
The feed pulls from the news agencies, so it can be slow, and thumbnails sometimes arrive after the headlines. Give it a moment, then reload.
I cannot find a track I expected
A generated edit arrives with the tracks it needs, named for what they carry — graphics, music, script, b-roll, a-roll and presenter. If one is absent, the edit does not contain that kind of material.
I cannot see something a colleague can
Features are enabled per account, so this is expected rather than a fault. If a feature you expect is missing, contact us.
The same applies to sources. Which agencies you can search depends on what your account is connected to.
There is no button to create a video style
Video styles come with Prism, and you pick from the ones on your account.

FAQ
Can I cancel something that is running?
Not a script, an edit or a render: once one starts, it runs to the end. Uploads can be stopped from their row, and on Enterprise plans a request to the agent in the Writers Room can be cancelled.
